Your child sits the free diagnostic
Thirty questions, about thirty-five minutes, in the same player a full mock runs in. Sat at a kitchen table on a laptop or an iPad, not on a phone — a forty-minute reading section is not a phone activity and we will not pretend otherwise.You read the report
Section marks, question-by-question marks, the skills behind them, and careless mistakes separated from gaps. Where the evidence is too thin to support a judgement, the report says so rather than rounding it into a claim.You work on one thing at a time
Every weakness gets an uncapped free way forward. At most two of the suggestions beside any one weakness are things you can pay for, because four price tags per mistake reads as a shop rather than as an assessment.The next test tells you whether it worked
The mistake bank brings the same skill back later, and the difficulty-adjusted trend line shows whether the mark moved for a real reason. If it did not, that is what you will read.

Why exam mode looks plain
The real test has no Skip button, no colour-coded question palette and no auto-advance. It has a four-state progress box, Back / Flag / Next, an hours-and-minutes timer you can hide, and four zoom presets. Ours has exactly that, because a practice test that is friendlier than the real one is measuring the wrong thing. Practice mode is where the palette, the Skip button and the immediate feedback live.
Every access adjustment, in the product from day one
Extra time at 1.25× and 1.5×, five colour overlays, four zoom presets and full keyboard operation are in the product from day one, and none of it is a paid extra.

The ladder
The tests get harder as your child gets better
A book of thirty tests at one difficulty measures the same thing thirty times. Ours are banded, and the report adjusts for the band — so an unchanged mark on a harder paper reads as progress rather than as a plateau. The band is set when the paper is written and checked by rule; no child has sat these papers yet, so it is an authored judgement rather than a measured one, and the report tells you where that adjustment is doing a lot of work.
