FAQ
The questions worth asking before you spend anything
Including the two that most businesses in this market answer dishonestly.
Questions and answers
Is this the real Opportunity Class test?
No. Exam Warriors is an independent practice platform and every question on it is written by us. The Opportunity Class Placement Test is administered by the NSW Department of Education, and we are not connected to it in any way. What we match is the format, the timing and the difficulty — never the questions, which are somebody else's copyright and which we have never copied.
Will this improve my child's chances of getting in?
We do not know, and neither does anybody selling you anything else. The Department's own guidance says there is no credible research that coaching helps a child gain a place, and any business that tells you otherwise is making a claim it cannot support. What we sell is measurement: what your child can do today, on an instrument built to the real one, and whether it changed after you worked on it.
How many tests are there, and when?
The library is being written now and is published in waves. A package's card never goes on sale until the tests it promises have actually been written and have passed every quality check — we do not sell a five-pack that does not exist yet. Join the waitlist and we will tell you when each wave lands.
What do you store about my child?
A first name, a year level, and what happened in the tests they sat. Not a full date of birth — month and year only, and only to keep the content age-appropriate. A school name is optional, private, and structurally impossible for us to publish. The account belongs to you, the parent: your child has a login, not an account, and never sees a price or anything to buy. Data is stored in Australia. You can export all of it, or erase the whole account, from your account.
Do the tests expire?
Purchased tests stay available for 36 months from purchase, or for as long as the service operates, whichever is longer. If we ever discontinue the service you get 90 days' notice and a refund of any unused credits. The Season Pass is the one deliberate exception: it is dated to the test and expires with it, which is why it is priced the way it is.
Can one pack cover two children?
Credits sit on the account rather than on a child, so a bundle can be used by any child on the account and progress is still tracked separately for each of them. The Season Pass is priced per child, with a household price for up to three, because a pass covering everything until the test shared three ways would be a different product at the same price.
What is your refund policy?
Full refund within 14 days if fewer than two mock tests have been completed from that purchase — so you can always sit two full tests and read two full reports before deciding to keep the pack. After that, a pro-rata refund of unused credits at the per-test price you actually paid. A broken question or a wrong answer key gets fixed or re-credited. Nothing in this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and you are entitled to a refund or replacement for a major failure.
What devices does it work on?
A laptop, a desktop or a tablet, in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. Reports read fine on a phone. Mock tests are not sat on one, and we would rather say so than sell you a forty-minute reading section on a five-inch screen.
